Ink Stain Removal - Removing Ink Stains the Right Way
Clothes are a natural way of showing our personality. Most people are intrigued at people who look their best due to the clothes they wear. Whether it is just at work, school or at the mall, many people use their clothes to stand out. Clothing though can be ruined in many ways. One of the biggest concerns is an accidental spillage of ink to your clothing. Ink stain removal could jeopardize everything, not unless you know how to remove ink stains the right way. All you need to do is to acquire proper knowledge regarding ink stain removal.
First thing you must do when you accidentally spill ink unto your clothes is to keep it damp before you get home. The biggest problem about ink stains is when they become dry. Once it becomes dry it becomes permanently bonded to the clothes fibbers. When this happens, the stains are much harder to remove or even if they are removed, they still leave marks upon the cloth.
You should use liquid detergent or powder detergent to remove the ink stains. Place the stained area on top of a white towel and continually blot the area using a sponge dipped upon the liquid detergent. Continue to blot the stained area until the ink is passed upon the white towel under it. You have to be very careful not to stain other parts of the clothing when blotting.
You could drop 2 to 3 liquid detergent upon the stain and wait for 5 to 7 minutes before blotting. The stains will be removed as you blot the stained area. It would be much better if you use hot water to help in removing the stains. Remember that before you should dry the clothing, the stain should have been removed completely.
For ball point ink stains you could use alcohol to remove the stain. Rub the alcohol smoothly unto the stain and blot it using a white towel. Stains will start to be removed upon blotting. You could use nail polish to remove ball point ink stains as well. Just apply nail polish upon the stained area and blot. The stain will then transfer to the towel you used for blotting.
There are many alternative ways for ink stain removal that are as effective as expensive detergents in the market today. All these will lead you to cheap alternatives in cleaning ink stain rather those costly dry cleaners. Not only will you save money, but save your favourite clothing from being trashed.

Instructions:
Drop Alcohol Ink
Lay a sheet of transparency or vellum on your craft sheet (or a protected surface). Have a 2nd sheet handy because alcohol inks dry quickly. I use 2 or 3 colors plus some metallic mixative or a posh accent metallic pen. Drop a few drops of the first color randomly on the transparency.
More alcohol inks
Drop a few drops of the 2nd or 3rd color.
Metallic Mixatives or Posh Accents Drop a few drops of the metallic mixatives & a few drops of alcohol ink blending solution on sheet. If you are using a posh metallic pen just dab some spots on the sheet. I've used the pearl metallic mixative here. I've also done them with copper metallic mixatives & gold posh accent pen. I've been happy with all of them.
2nd Transparency Quickly place the 2nd transparency or vellum sheet on top.
Smoosh 'Smoosh' the colors around with your fingers - try to just have them touch not mix or they may become a 'mud' color.
Remove Lift the top sheet off & lay both to dry. They will be dry very quickly and you can cut them up & use them in projects!
