Unable to access Orkut with an error messages “Orkut is banned you fool”…
I was fying to Mumbai and in the airport i got my hands on a computer connected to the internet in the jetairways lounge. As i am a social guy, my first site was Orkut.com and i got an error message "Orkut is banned you fool". I tought the network administrator or system administrator might have blocked it using a firewall software or some script, but i didn't find the language used to convey the message.
If you get an error message Unable to access Orkut with an error messages “Orkut is banned you fool”…then read further for the solution. Your system is infected with Heap41a Virus.Below is the removal process
- Press CTRL+ALT+DEL Click “Task Manager”, button.
- Go to the processes tab and look for svchost.exe. There will be many but look for the ones which have your username under the “username” column.
- Select the Process and click the button “End process”. It will give you a warning, simply press Yes
- Repeat for other svchost.exe files with your username.
Note: Do not kill svchost.exe under system, local service or network service.
- Now you need to delete the files in the folder Heap41a which is present in the root folder. Heap41a is a hidden folder, to unhide go to Tools > Folder Options Go to View Tab and select “Show hidden Files and Folders” or Type C:Heap41a in Start > Run and press enter.
- Press CTRL + A to select all the files in this folder and select the Del Button.
- Now go to Start > Run and type in regedit
- Go to the menu Edit > Find
- Type “Heap41a” here and press enter. You will get something like this “[winlogon] C:heap41asvchost.exe C:heap(some number)std.txt”
- Select the key and Press DEL. It will ask “Are you sure you want to delete this value”, click Yes
- Now close the registry editor and you are done.

Frost in the INSIDE of the window?
I live in an apartment, its very old and very neglected maintenance wise..except what the tenants do to fix it up. Last night it was about 15 degrees. This morning I pulled back the curtains in my bedroom and both windows from top to bottom were covered in frost.. on the inside, I had to use a scrapper on the inside of my bedroom windows. I'm stuck in a lease so I have to do something, any suggestion on a cheap solution?
Just for reference 80's kid.. I, personally, just refinished the hardwood floors, installed new kitchen/bath floors, replaced the heating unit, replaced and rewired the electrical for three rooms and replaced the toilet(didn't buy it but had to install it). If I had storm windows I would know how to fix the problem. So my point is, incapable I am not, broke and completely over it yes but not incapable.
The cheapest solution would be to install a plastic window kit inside. Not the most attractive method, but they do help a great deal. The ones that have plastic that you shrink with a hair dryer look a bit better than the cheaper ones.
Also, you may want to consider a dehumidifier. The fact that you have frost on the inside of the windows indicates 1) they are not well insulated and 2) you have too much moisture in your living space. The dehumidifier will not help the heat situation, but it will give you a healthier living environment.
