I have a sewing project and I really want a template/pattern yo make it way easier of myself. I want one shaped like a giant flip flop. But it doesn't have to be that way. Either way, it has to be simple.

Or, if you are good at sketching, just draw the outline on a paper. [you could use real flip-flops, place them on the paper & outline with pencil. then enlarge this to the cushion size you want].
you can make any sort of pattern in this way.
i am assuming that you are going to stitch the cushion cover in this shape & then stuff it yourself.

the only detail to remember is that you will need to keep 1/4-1/2 inch all around for seams/stitching.
once you are satisfied with the shape & size, copy this out on a thick sheet of paper & cut along the design edges. your template is ready & the thick paper will ensure durability & longevity.
place this template on the cloth [ fabric folded in 2] & cut.

this will be the simplest & most basic method. you can make it more complex as you get better at it.
