Why did does Disney allow that Hannah Montana girl to dress so inappropriately?
My eight-year-old wanted to watch the Teen Choice awards last night, and after seeing what Miley Cyrus was wearing I had to have a talk with my daughter about how bad it looks for a fourteen-year-old to be dressed like that. Doesn't Disney Channel have something written in her contract that she shouldn't be wearing such revealing clothing? She was wearing an extremely low-cut dress with her cleavage exposed. I was shocked! Would complaining to the network do any good?
15 years ago when I was 13, I wore T-shirts and jeans, not cleavage-baring tops.
Strangely enough, they do, in fact, make gowns without a low v-neck. It's not like a low-cut dress was the only thing available.
I know, it's terrible and I would definately complain. The sad thing is that for some reason they think immodesty sells, but if enough people complain then maybe they'll get the picture!
