Sur le blog Scrapbooking d'Ali Edwards, une des meilleures dans le monde du scrapbooking, J'ai récemment lu que nous ne sommes pas seulement des femmes qui collent des photos sur un joli bout de papier mais nous sommes des artistes de la vie. Nous transformons, à l'aide de l'art du Scrapbooking, des photos et des souvenirs précieux en chef d'oeuvre.
Les filles! C'est vraiment ça, nous sommes des artistes de scrapbooking! Pour moi, le Scrapbooking est un art. C'est vraiment valorisant.Comme une artiste, nous prenons nos outils, nos photos, et nous choisissons les couleurs qui expriment un moment dans nos vies qui était ou qui est important.

Comme des artistes, chaque page ne va pas être le chef d'œuvre, même parfois ça peut être super moche, (je suis déjà passe par là) mais c'est une découverte, un apprentissage.
Vos pages Scrapbooking sortent de votre cœur, de votre imagination donc soyons-en fier. Et quand il y a des pages ratées, bon…on peut bien se marrer et puis peut-être le cacher sous une autre page, et puis on recommence et on essaie autre chose.
J'ai une sœur qui refuse de faire de scrapbooking parce qu'elle croit qu'elle n'est pas assez artistique. Croyez moi les filles, elle fait des super pages! Alors, je me suis dit, j'espère qu'il n'y en a pas beaucoup comme elle qui se découragent.

Plus de comparaisons, ce que vous faites est unique. Assez les frustrations ou les craintes de mal faire. Engénéral, de toute façon, c'est pas très constructif de comparer. Et en plus, il y a assez de compétition déjà comme cela. Je vous encourage à faire une page sur ce sujet avec le titre : Artiste de la vie !
C'est une réalisation parfaite pour vous, même si vous n'est qu'une novice. Je vais égelement relever ce challenge et je vous montrerai ce que j'ai fait. Vous pouvez aussi me montrer vos pages. scrapbooking workshops?
I love scrapbooking but have not made a scrapbook of my own. I go through websites like peasinabucket, simplescrapbooks and such but I only admire what i see. I don't know anything. I started a list of how to books but I think what would be best is one of those scrapbooking workshops, or anything like that.
Can anyone reccomend a good workshop. Or something for beginners. Something of great quality, that is national or more local (live in MA)

I love scrapbooking!!! But, I never read a how-to book or went to a workshop. All it takes (and this is no lie) is you starting. You don't need any training. All you need is time, pictures and paper. Check this out. Go to Wal-Mart or Michaels and buy a sturdy scrapbook of your choice size and color that can be filled with more sheets . I personally recommend a 12x12 size because it allows more pictures to be on one page, but this up to you. Now, here's what I do because I'm a college student, so I have no money. LEt's say you go to a fun place like disney land (this is hypothetical). You need to save your tickets, the park map, the receipts of where you went to eat, the fast passes, and Minnie's autograph. Make the map your background and use the tickets and autograph, etc. as your fill in peices to give your page more decoration. Then, add your favorite photos. They can be cropped, cut, and colored however you like (Having some kind of photoshop on your computer really helps because you can personalize your photos). But, see how I used free resources to decorate my page? That means, I saved money by not buying the expensive scrapbook extras at Michaels. Now, if you have money, then go to the scrapbook section of your nearest arts store. Buy: stickers that are embossed, background paper that goes with the theme of your page (if it's christmas, then stick with red, green and gold), and little non-sticky extras. I recommend stick glue and not regular Elmer's school glue because that can cause your photos to stick together and thus causing your pages to stick together. Or use tape. But whatever you do, give yourself time. If you give 100% to your scrapbook, you will get 100% back. And you don't need to be artsy and craftsy to be a good scrapbooker. You just need to bring your own flavor to every page. The first page can be your practice and then you'll see how your style is. And, if you really feel the need to go to a workshop, check out your nearest art store and they should have art classes. Have fun!
