What are Your Colors? Part 4
We are wrapping up our series on colors today. I hope you have been able to get useful tips and information. As a woman, I always want to look my best but I don’t want to have to put a whole lot of effort into it! Knowing what colors look best on me help me pick things out quicker and save me a lot of time trying on things that are not going to look good on me. The same goes for my jewelry. I will purchase silver, platinum and white gold because it looks better with my skin type which has pink and blue undertones. I will look for gemstones that are winter color types as they will match my clothes and my skin tone.
Today we are going to cover our last color type. We have discussed Winter, Summer, Spring and now we are going to finish up with Autumn. What do you think of when you hear the word autumn? I think of colorful leaves and rich, golden browns. If you fall into the autumn category then your complexion has undertones that are golden. People who are red headed or brunette and have brown eyes would be considered an autumn.
Autumn colors are medium light to medium dark in intensity but unlike Spring where the colors are clear, these are more muted. If you fall into this category, then you would want to look for colors like orange, golden yellows, and browns. Colors that would not look good with this skin type would be navy blue. Some gemstones that would fall into this category would be carnelian, tiger eye, garnet, and citrine. Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts and Angelina Jole would fall into the Autumn category.
Autumn colors are warm and just like spring, they look great with gold jewelry. The fall season is full of warm, golden colors and earth tones.
