What is Love? Can I try defining it?

If I say- a true affection between a man and woman is love, it leads to the other mystery how we differentiate true and false affection. Love is the word which is often used in the context of the relationship between a man and a woman. But in my perspectives, everything is love. The word love, controls the world and is controlled by the heart.

Love never destroys but it changes shape (I am not a science student….:-) ). Love between the parents and children, and friends are less debatable as the commitment towards these relationships are lesser than the other love which I am going to define in this article. Yes, I too wish to define love in terms of an unknown man and woman who lose their self identities in love and become a world to each other and live in their world only with each other.

The definition might sound interesting, for some it might even be funny. But there are far funniest definitions of love (which is idiotic for most of who read it).

I like you as a very close friend, but I cannot love you or marry you. A common answer most of us would have received. What does it mean? When you give such a special place to a person, what stops you from loving them? Is that your brain stops you from loving the person whom your heart chose? Well…if brain comes into this exchange of hearts, it is no more called as love, it is just a business of life.

Love – in the perspective of my “close friend” is, place a girl under good friend category, analyze all the possibilities of marrying her. If it is feasible, then express love to her, if there are some complications involved in it, look for the next option in the list.

Wow, a brainy definition. His brain works more than his heart, not much difference between this love and a business transaction.

Let me give you an idiotic definition of love - Look at a person, something attracts. Makes you to look at him again, watch keenly (without hampering your routine J), get attracted by the his attitude and characteristics. You feel that he is your man, made for you and you become mad for him. Till now, the possibilities like whether you can marry him or not, he will love back or not, whether it is correct or not, has never been analyzed.

Your eyes decide that he is for you; your heart tells that your choice is right, and your brain works to succeed in this love. Brain plays the last role and that to a role of an executor not a deciding authority, in my definition. (I have used a female definition, it applies to any man)

I might sound idiotic, but isn’t it romantic? It is true that every one cannot marry the one they love. But if there is no romance and just a brainy decision all the time, when do you live the life? Brain is needed to sustain in this world, but heart is very important to live your life. If you are just not emotional and always practical, we are not different from the computer you look at now. We need romance, emotions, and love, to transform our existence to living.

When love occurs after analyzing all the options, it just turns out to be a commitment. If it becomes a commitment there is no existence of love. Love remains as love, when there is not commitment or expectation but just a huge bundle of affection.

Let me give you a few tips to understand the love in you:

1. If you express that you do not love her, but still can’t stop thinking of her or talking to her.

2. If you try to avoid her, but not able to spend your day without at least scolding her

3. You know you don’t love her, but still you want her to be in your life for some reason

4. You know you want to maintain a safe distance from her, because you know she is some one special.

I have tried to pen a couple of things, that would help you realized your love. But, why should I? If you are not recognizing the love in you, how do you think my tips would help you? The love in us is not dead yet. Our inventions control our life rather than our emotions. Why don’t we live with our emotions… rather than existing with our inventions?
