“Crap!” I screamed, throwing the note aside. I ran to my wardrobe and ripped out a nicer white dress then the one I was wearing. It was full length and long belled sleeved with a scalloped neck. I hated it, but being called to the council of the Elders is serious business. Serious Formal business.
“Elody, what are you doing in there?” Josh opened my door without knocking- again.
“Damn it josh!” I cried, ducking behind my bed, “Why, why can you knock!” I happened to be completely naked, and annoyed. Josh didn’t leave my room. Not that I had expected him too considering he never had known when to step away from an embarrassing situation.
“Why are you putting on your nice dress?” he asked, completely ignoring the fact that I was naked underneath my bed. I growled in frustration,
“I got called to the council, get out.”
“ok, ok. Don’t have a heart attack.”

Eragon much? Well I'd say it's a good start and would like to read more, not actually sure what it's about because the excerpt is so small. Apart from all that there's a minor niggle with the the "Why, why can you knock!" bit. (Missed the ' and t).
