Scrapbooking Your Faith - Do You Have What it Takes?

The answer may surprise you because it is so simple. You may have the desire to create a scrapbook about your spiritual legacy. But, are you worried because-like me- you have trouble drawing anything more advanced than a smiley face?

If you do, don't worry. Fortunately, for those of us who are non-artists, there is finally a wonderful way for us to be creative. That is "Faithbooking" or "Scrapbooking Your Faith".

You basically Need Three Things:

 

Basic Skills


The basic skills needed for Faithbooking are those we learned in kindergarten. Cutting and pasting are the common skills which are used in the traditional method of scrapbooking. Those are the only skills you need to get started. As you progress, you may choose to learn more techniques--but beginners really only have to cut and paste.


"I Can Do It" Attitude


You must have the attitude that you want to do this and you can do it. If it doesn't matter, your faithbook will not happen. But if deep down in your heart you have a desire to leave your spiritual message to your child or grandchild, you will find a way to do it.


"Smart" Time


God has given you the same amount of time he has given to all the rest of us-24 hours in our days. Some people accomplish more than others during that time frame. In order for you to create your Faithbook, you need to decide that it is a priority. By devoting just 15 minutes per day, you can make it happen.

 

You may squeeze in some extra Faithbooking time by multi-tasking. Look at these scenarios and then find some ways you can create some "smart" time for your Faithbooking.

 

• Cut out embellishments while you wait for your son at football practice.
• Make a list of titles while your daughter is taking dance lessons.
• Organize some pictures while you watch TV with your family.

 

The Point? If you want to do Faithbooking, you will find a way to work it into your schedule. If you feel that God has given you a message to pass on to your child/grandchild, then go for it with all your heart. Don't worry about the skills-you already have those. The time-God has already given you that too. So it's up to you and your attitude.

With a "can do it" attitude and a prayer you will be on your way to creating your spiritual legacy for those who follow you.

Signs your partner is gay?

I'm 21 and have been with my boyfriend for 1 1/2 years. We're very much in love. When we first started going out some people were surprised because they thought he was gay. He enjoys dressing up for nights out, scrapbooking and cooking. However also plays football which is perceived as quite masculine.
