Ideas for a Winter Wedding Tissue Paper Flower Bouquet
There is no doubt winter weddings are beautiful especially if you live in an area where there is usually fresh fallen snow. In this article, we are going to look at some winter wedding tissue paper flower bouquet ideas.
Most people consider white to be the dominate winter color and rightfully so however, there are some other winter colors as well depending on the month. If you are planning your wedding in December, you can easily include the colors of Christmas red, green, silver, gold, and even blue. A combination of these colors makes a beautiful and festive tissue paper flower bouquet. You can also include artificial clusters of cranberries if the bouquets primary color is white. If the bouquet is a mixture of colors, you can use artificial clusters of snowberries. Can I glue ribbon strips to a handbag without it looking cheap?
I have found a glue that is great for gluing embellishments, like flowers onto handbags and would like to glue grosgrain ribbon on as well. Do ribbons need to be stitched on? or is gluing a proper production procedure? I am trying to do this myself to save money rather than have a factory or sewer do it. It needs to be REALLY strong and not fall off because I'd like to sell them. I want them to look like the ribbon bags at www.kathyfagan.com. Can I glue? Help.
Sure - go for it - great idea!
There are lots of differnet kinds of glues. There is even fabric glue, which is specially made for what you are looking at doing. It is very strong, and can even be washed! I sew a lot, and there are certainly cases where professional seamstresses use glue instead of sewing, so don't worry about it looking cheap.
I suggest you ask in a good crafts store what glue they would recommend (it's best if you bring a handbag and ribbon with you, so they can see the materials themselves).
Alternatively, check out the websites below for info. about differnet kinds of fabric glue.
Make one and carry it for a week - you'll see pretty quickly if the glue is holding - as soon as you find one that does - go for it and sell them!
