Why is the Ghost Rider "Extended Cut" not extended at all?

I received the Ghost Rider 2-disc extended cut DVD for Christmas and watched it, eagerly awaiting the new footage, only to find that there is not one single shot beyond the original theatrical cut. Is there something I must access on the DVD that I'm not seeing? Did anyone else have this problem?

I do not have the video but here is what I can tell you it probably is. The original length is 114 minutes while the extended is 123 minutes so there is some trimming done. . Often a film is trimmed to meet the time frame specified in the contract. Often the requirement is to keep it under 2 hours (120 Minutes). What they often do is cut out either a camera pan or one or two lines from one end of a scene that adds little or nothing to the story line. Because of that, it is not surprising that you did not notice any difference. Adding the statement that it is extended increases sales but sadly may not add any significant. I did hear that the fatal jump his father made is a touch different.
