Christmas Unmounted

Tips To Stop Error Codes
You've had your computer for years and it's starting to show. You find yourself cursing at your computer more and more for being unbelievably slow and now you're starting to experience crashes and dreaded stop error codes. You wonder how long you can hold out for a new computer and finally smash your old one to smithereens. Sure this isn't a bad idea but buying a new computer can be expensive. And in any case, a new PC won't run like brand new for a long time.
This isn't because they age and physically slow down over time. Usually it's because they get used and abused by their owners! Serial down-loaders like to download and install programs like it's Christmas, even if they will never ever use them. Lack of hard disk space because of excessive programs will slow your PC down. However, you shouldn't just go in there and start deleting things without thought.
Bad uninstalls mean more problems for your PC to deal with such as invalid entries in your registry and useless or corrupt files. Invalid registry entries can cause countless issues including the highly irritating unmountable boot volume blue screen! Resintalling Windows is a possible solution for slow computers, but it's a bit of bother. First you would have to backup any files you want to keep and after the reinstallation you would need to update and reinstall your programs.
There's a simpler way to keep your computer running smoothly and speedily and that's by continuous maintenance. Perhaps not the answer you're looking for since it requires a bit of work, but it doesn't take long. It's also a far better choice than experiencing computer crashes and blue screen error codes. The following are some maintenance tips you can start today:
The first tip might be obvious but stop adding programs to your PC that aren't going to be used. With so many free applications on the Net, you might get addicted to adding new ones to your computer, but don't. Go to your programs and note all the ones that you have used in the past 2 months. You'll probably come across programs that you didn't even know that were on your PC.
Go through any programs that you don't need and uninstall them. Do this properly by using the Remove Programs utility in Control Panel. Delete any old files and folders that you don't need anymore. Big files like videos and photos take a lot of memory but can easily be saved to a memory card. Making more memory available will make your computer run faster.
Delete temporary data that is saved during surfing and make a habit of defragging your PC to make applications run more efficiently. Check that you don't have lots of unnecessary applications running on startup. If you see lots of application icons on the bottom right toolbar that you don't use, disable the auto-start function on each one. Be sure to leave essential things running such as antivirus programs. If you feel comfortable in doing so, you can also use the msconfig command and disable any startup programs. Shutting down and starting-up times should be a lot quicker by making these changes.
Lastly, daily scanning of your PC with an antivirus program should be carried out. Millions of PC's around the world are infected with viruses without their users even knowing. Bots, Trojans, viruses and malware can render your PC useless and even steal personal data. Once you get into the habit of maintaining your computer you will wonder why you didn't start doing it sooner.

I need help with ideas for a horse costume contest?
Alright, so, I need ideas for a costume for me and the horse I ride. His name is Trooper and he is a chestnut. About 16-16.2 hands. It can be mounted or unmounted(I'll probably go mounted because he is sometimes crazy when your hand walking him. He isn't the calmest horse haha). It was supposed to be around Christmas but it has been raining. So now its in February. I don't have to be dressed up in a costume if I don't want to. Umm yea so it can be christmasy theme, Valentines theme, any theme actually but I have no idea what to do. I was thinking of getting matching polo wraps and a saddle pad, and braiding ribbons in his mane and tail, and tying them to his bridle, saddle, irons, etc. So ideas please! Thanks a lot (:
The stables I used to ride at done a dress-up trail day. One girl dressed up as Lady Godiva and caused a car crash haha.
She wore a skin coloured body suit, had a long wig on and dressed the horse up in robes.
I thought that was an awesome idea
